Materials and Construction for Signal Integrity
Both the body and center contact are machined from brass with a silver finish. Silver plating on the center contact keeps surface resistance low at RF frequencies, where skin effect concentrates current near the surface. The PTFE dielectric offers a low and stable dielectric constant, minimizing signal loss and phase shift up to the 2 GHz ceiling.
