The connector is dimensioned for RG-58C and 141A cable groups, meaning the center conductor diameter, dielectric OD, and braid lay-up are matched to the crimp ferrule and solder bucket. The 0.3 dB insertion loss at the band is tight for a right-angle BNC — the silver-plated brass body and center contact keep surface resistance low, which matters more at the upper end of the 4 GHz range where skin effect concentrates current on the plating surface. With a 500-volt rating and a -65°C to 165°C operating range, this connector handles bench and field environments from cold-chamber test setups to outdoor antenna feeds.
