The TE Connectivity AMP-Latch 1-1658526-2 is a 20-position, 2-row IDC receptacle designed for mass-termination to 28-30 AWG ribbon cable.
IDC termination means the 28-30 AWG ribbon cable is pressed onto the insulation-piercing contacts in one operation — no individual wire stripping or crimping. The free-hanging (in-line) mounting lets you route the receptacle directly to a panel or chassis opening without a board mount. A polarizing key in the housing prevents mis-mating with the header, which saves a rework trip when you're building a harness on site.
