The TE Connectivity AMP-Latch 1-1658621-3 is a 44-position IDC receptacle designed for mass-termination to 26-28 AWG ribbon cable. It uses forked contacts with 15.0µin (0.38µm) gold plating, dual rows on a standard 0.100" (2.54mm) pitch that matches the AMP-Latch header family. The free-hanging (in-line) housing includes a feed-through slot for daisy-chaining multiple receptacles along a single cable and a polarizing key to prevent mis-mating with the header.
This connector terminates ribbon cable with 26-28 AWG conductors using a standard IDC press. The feed-through feature lets you pass the cable through the housing and terminate a second receptacle downstream without cutting the ribbon — useful for multi-drop bus topologies inside an enclosure.
Mating and Keying
Mates with the AMP-Latch 0.100" pitch shrouded header (e.g., base number 1-1658621 family). The polarizing key in the receptacle aligns with a corresponding slot in the header, blocking a reversed or offset insertion.
