The sealed housing means this plug can be used in wet or washdown locations — think engine bay harnesses, outdoor equipment, or food-processing lines where moisture ingress is a risk. The wide -40°C to 125°C operating range covers cold-start and underhood heat soak.
The housing accepts crimp-terminated contacts that are inserted into the cavity and retained by the latch lock. Mates with the corresponding MCON receptacle housing (same series, 2-position, 4.00 mm pitch) that carries socket contacts. Stock both halves or neither; an orphan plug without its receptacle is dead stock.
