The 1-172167-2: It uses a 0.163" (4.14mm) pitch and a latch lock for positive retention in free-hanging (in-line) wire-to-wire or wire-to-board harnesses.
The housing accepts either gender, so the same shell works for both plug and receptacle sides depending on which terminal you load.
The latch lock snaps audibly on full mate, giving a vibration-resistant connection. The 2-row, 4-position layout means two circuits per row at 4.14mm row spacing.
The 1-172167-2 accepts Mini-Universal MATE-N-LOK crimp terminals in either male or female gender. The contacts are ordered separately; the housing itself does not include them. Use the TE crimp tool specified for the wire gauge you are terminating.
