Housing Only — You Supply the Crimp Contacts
The 1-172167-9: It is a free-hanging (in-line) connector with a dual-row layout on a 0.163" (4.14 mm) pitch. The housing is molded in black polyamide 66 (PA66) and uses a latch-lock fastening system for a positive mate.
This plug housing accepts either male or female crimp contacts (sold separately), so the same shell can serve as the plug half for a receptacle header or a matching in-line housing. The mating half is a Mini-Universal MATE-N-LOK receptacle header or housing with the same 0.163" (4.14 mm) pitch and latch-lock interface. The polyamide 66 housing handles typical underhood heat soak and cold starts within that band, but if your application sees sustained temperatures above 105°C or below -20°C, you will need a different material grade.
