Housing Specs and Fit
The TE Connectivity 1-172211-0 is a 10-position, single-row plug housing from the EI series, on a 2.50 mm pitch. It is a free-hanging (in-line) housing that accepts male pin contacts via crimp termination — the contacts are not included, so you need to order the matching crimp terminals separately. The natural-colour PA66 (Nylon 6/6) housing is rated for an operating temperature range of -20°C to 95°C and is RoHS compliant.
Mating and Termination
This plug housing mates with the corresponding EI series receptacle housing (same pitch, same row count) to form a wire-to-wire or wire-to-board connection. The 2.50 mm pitch is a common spacing for signal-level interconnects in appliance, automotive, and industrial harnesses. Since the housing is free-hanging, it is terminated to a wire harness using the appropriate crimp contacts — no PCB footprint needed on this side.
