What This FPC Connector Does on the Board
The 1 A ceiling is typical for signal-level FPC interconnects; the narrow 1.00 mm pitch restricts current per circuit more than the contact itself.
Vertical orientation means the FPC enters perpendicular to the PCB — the mated height above board is 0.217" (5.50 mm). This is a space-saving profile for tight enclosures where the FPC routes straight up from the board surface. The contacts are vertical, 1-sided — the FPC contacts only the top row of pads. The slide-lock actuator is black, matching the housing. The tapered cable end (specified in the FPC design) eases insertion into the ZIF mechanism.
Sourced through independent distribution. The part is ROHS3 compliant.
The 1-1734248-2 is the same 1.00 mm pitch, vertical SMD, ZIF FPC connector but with 12 positions instead of 11. The board footprint and mating FPC width differ by one circuit — otherwise the current rating, contact finish, and housing material are identical. The 1-1734248-1 is the 11-position variant; if your BOM calls for 11 circuits, this is the match.
