0.50 mm pitch, 14-position ZIF with slide lock
The 1-1734742-4 is a vertical SMD FFC/FPC connector from TE Connectivity, 14 positions on 0.50 mm pitch. The zero-insertion-force actuator and slide lock let you swap cables repeatedly without wearing the FPC pads — useful for camera modules or display interfaces that see field-service access.
ZIF slide lock and cable thickness tolerance
The slide lock holds the actuator closed under vibration better than a simple flip-lock, reducing intermittent contact in portable or in-vehicle equipment. Accepts FPC thickness 0.30 mm — the straight or tapered cable end type gives flexibility for different flex tail designs. Housing is black thermoplastic, glass filled, rated UL94 V-0. The brown actuator material is also thermoplastic. Solder retention pads on the SMD footprint add mechanical hold during reflow and under cable strain.
