What This Connector Does and Who Specifies It
The 1-1735042-2: It accepts 0.30 mm thick flat flex cable, with tin-plated phosphorus bronze contacts rated 1 A at 125 V. The beige glass-filled nylon housing is RoHS compliant. This is a vertical orientation connector — the FFC/FPC inserts straight into the top, making it a fit for board-edge or mezzanine layouts where the cable runs perpendicular to the PCB. The 5.59 mm height above board sets the z-height budget in the enclosure.
Cable Fit and Termination Check
The contact style is vertical, 1-sided, meaning the cable's conductive pads must be on the same side as the contact beam. Solder termination to the PCB is standard SMD reflow.
