The 1-1761608-6: This is a 60-position, dual-row, shrouded header from the AMP-Latch series, designed to mate with standard 0.100-inch (2.54 mm) pitch IDC ribbon cable sockets. The 60-position count matches 60-conductor cable, common in parallel data buses or signal harnesses where every line needs a dedicated pin. The header is through-hole mounted with solder tails 0.102" (2.60 mm) long. The shroud is a full 4-wall design with a keying slot to prevent mis-mating.

Latch lock and eject hooks for secure cable retention
Short latch lock/eject hooks on the header engage the mating socket's locking ears. When mated, the latch holds the cable connector against vibration; to unmate, squeeze the hooks to release the lock and use the hooks as a lever to break the friction fit without prying on the pins. The header uses phosphor bronze contacts — a standard spring material that balances conductivity and flex life. The housing is PBT with UL94 V-0 flammability rating, so it's acceptable inside equipment enclosures that require flame-rated components.
