Wire termination and fit
The 1-1986722-2: This 12-position plug uses a screwless leg-spring, push-in spring termination that accepts 14-30 AWG (0.05-2 mm²) solid or stranded wire. No screwdriver needed — strip, push, and the spring clamps the conductor. The 180° wire entry keeps the cable bundle aligned with the plug axis.
The 3.81 mm pitch and tin-plated contacts handle signal-level and moderate power loads — derate current above the 110°C upper operating limit per the TE derating curve.
Side-stacking for multi-level builds
The side-stacking feature lets you gang multiple 1-1986722-2 plugs side-by-side on the same header.
