0.25mm pitch FPC, 37 positions, ZIF actuation
The 1-2040832-4 is the 37-position member of TE Connectivity's 0.25mm-pitch FPC connector line, using a zero insertion force (ZIF) slide-lock actuator for bottom-contact FPC terminations. Gold-plated copper alloy contacts are rated 0.2A per circuit at 50V, with the 0.20mm FPC thickness matched to the contact beam geometry.
Board-fit and routing density
At 0.010" (0.25mm) pitch and 1.30mm height above board, the 37-position connector packs 37 circuits into a board-edge footprint that leaves room for trace fan-out on a single layer — the narrow pitch limits per-contact current to 0.2A, which matches the signal duty of fine-pitch FPC interconnects. The ZIF slide lock and solder retention features hold the FPC in place without insertion force on the contacts, reducing wear on the flex circuit pads during assembly.
