The TE Connectivity AMP-Latch 1-215915-6 is a 16-position, 2-row IDC receptacle built for mass-termination to 0.100" pitch ribbon cable. A feed-through design lets you daisy-chain the ribbon cable through multiple receptacles, and the integral polarizing key prevents mis-mating with the wrong header orientation.
Termination is IDC — the ribbon cable is pressed onto the insulation-displacement forks in one operation, no stripping or soldering. The gray housing is the standard colour for this AMP-Latch variant; the feed-through slot on the back lets you pass the ribbon through and terminate a second receptacle further down the same cable run.
