10-Position IDC Header for Ribbon Cable
The TE Connectivity 1-2178712-0 is a 10-position, dual-row header in the Micro-MaTch series, terminated via IDC to 0.059" (1.50 mm) spaced ribbon cable. The 0.100" (2.54 mm) pitch matches standard 0.100" headers, so the board footprint is the same as any conventional 2.54 mm pin header — no special pad layout needed.
This header terminates directly to ribbon cable through the insulation-displacement slot — no wire stripping or crimping. The 0.059" (1.50 mm) row spacing is the standard for 0.100" pitch ribbon cable, so it mates with common 10-conductor flat cable. The black housing is the standard colour for the Micro-MaTch series, and the Tape & Reel packaging suits automated pick-and-place for panel assembly.
