This receptacle terminates discrete 26-28 AWG wire via IDC — no crimp die or loose terminal required. The free-hanging (in-line) mounting style suits it for point-to-point harnesses inside an enclosure, not for panel feed-through. The latch holder locks the mated pair without a secondary clip, so field service is a simple squeeze-and-pull.
The black colour is the standard housing for this variant; the series also offers natural (unpigmented) housings for visual differentiation on the line.
