10-position PCB terminal block with 2.54mm pitch — side-entry screw clamp for field wiring
The 1-282834-0: That pitch matches breadboard and perf-board layouts, so the footprint drops onto a standard 0.1" grid without a custom pad pattern. Rated 10 A at 150 V, it handles moderate power distribution on the board — the rising cage clamp grips the stripped wire directly, not through the solder joint, so the current path is through the screw termination, not the PCB pad. The green housing is the industry-standard color for field-wiring termination points, making it easy to identify on the board layout. Accepts 16-30 AWG wire, so one block covers everything from a 16 AWG power feed to a 30 AWG signal wire.
Screw torque and termination — field-serviceable without special tooling
Termination is screw - rising cage clamp: the screw pushes a clamp plate down onto the wire inside a nickel-plated brass cage. Torque spec is 0.2 Nm (1.7 Lb-In) — a standard small screwdriver is all that is needed. The clamp material is brass with nickel plating; the screw is steel, stainless. No crimp tool, no ferrule required for solid wire.
