Wire Termination and Clamp Design
The screw - rising cage clamp accepts 12-30 AWG solid or stranded wire. As the M3 screw is tightened to 0.79 Nm, the cage rises, clamping the conductor against the current bar. The brass contact and clamp are tin-plated, which is adequate for the rated current and the expected number of installation cycles in a fixed-installation terminal block. The nickel-plated brass screw resists corrosion in industrial cabinet environments. The interlocking side feature lets multiple 1-282841-2 blocks snap together side-by-side to create a longer terminal strip, maintaining the 5.08 mm pitch across the assembly without gaps.
