Wiring and Torque — What the Ratings Mean
The 17.5 A rating at 300 V per level is the continuous current limit at the rated temperature; above 105°C the block must be derated per the manufacturer's curve. The rising cage clamp grips the conductor directly — no ferrule required for stranded wire, but the M3 screw must be tightened to the specified 0.79 Nm (7.0 Lb-In) to maintain contact force and avoid thermal runaway under load. The 12-30 AWG range covers most panel wiring from motor leads to signal pairs.
