It accepts solid or stranded wire from 18 AWG to 22 AWG and terminates via solder to the PCB. Tin-plated copper alloy contacts keep the cost down for moderate-cycle applications like appliance or lighting harnesses.
Wiring and Current Capacity
The current rating is dual: 5 A per contact when using 22 AWG wire, 9 A per contact with 18 AWG. That difference reflects the wire's ability to carry heat away from the contact interface — size the wire to the load, not the other way around.
Mounting and Assembly
The poke-in design eliminates the need for a separate crimp terminal — strip the wire, insert into the housing, and solder the contact to the pad. The right-angle SMT footprint suits automated pick-and-place assembly; the natural housing colour is the standard resin colour for the series.
