The 14-20 AWG wire range covers most field wiring in that power class. The push-in spring accepts solid or ferruled stranded wire without a tool, which speeds up panel wiring and eliminates the risk of over-torquing a screw terminal. Mounting is through-hole with a kinked pin that holds the block in place during soldering and provides some strain relief against board handling. The vertical orientation with top wire entry keeps the wiring axis perpendicular to the PCB, which suits enclosures where the board sits flat and wires drop in from above.
Wire Termination and Field Use
The push-in spring clamp (screwless leg spring design) is the key feature here — it accepts 14-20 AWG solid or ferruled wire and locks it with a spring-loaded clamp. No screwdriver needed for termination, which is a real time-saver in high-density panels where access to screw heads is awkward. The spring also holds better than a screw in high-vibration environments because it does not back off over time. The tin-plated copper alloy contacts are adequate for the 6 A rating and the expected mating cycles in a terminal block application — typically installed once and left in place.
