2-Position Poke-In Receptacle for In-Line Splices
It uses a poke-in termination — strip the wire, push it into the contact, and the latch holds it without a crimp tool. Typical use is in lighting, appliance, and low-current power distribution where a quick, tool-less splice is needed.
Wire Range and Current Derating
Accepts 16-22 AWG stranded or solid wire. The dual current rating — 3A and 8A — reflects the wire size and ambient temperature: the higher figure applies at the larger wire gauge and lower temperature rise. For a 22 AWG run at 125°C, expect the 3A limit; at 16 AWG in a cooler environment, the contact can carry 8A. The 600V voltage rating is consistent with the 2-position pitch and thermoplastic housing creepage.
The tin-plated copper alloy contacts are adequate for the cycle count and environment; gold would be overkill here. The latch holder locks the pair together and prevents accidental separation under vibration.
