LIGHT-N-LOK Poke-In Receptacle, 3 Circuits
It uses a Poke-In termination — strip the wire and push it into the contact, no crimp tool required. This is a semi-permanent interconnect for internal harnesses where tool-less assembly and a vibration-resistant latch are the priorities.
The 1-2834055-1 accepts 16-22 AWG wire. The Poke-In termination means the stripped conductor is inserted directly into the contact beam — the beam grips the wire and establishes the electrical connection. This eliminates the crimp terminal, the crimp tool, and the quality-check step of pull-force verification. The trade-off is that the wire is semi-permanently captured; the 10 mating cycles rating reflects that this is not a frequent-disconnect design. For a harness that is assembled once and mated a few times over its life, the Poke-In saves assembly time and tooling cost.
Dual Current Rating — 3A and 8A
The current rating is 3A per circuit when all three positions are loaded, and 8A for a single circuit under optimal conditions. The voltage rating is 600V.
The 10 mating cycles are sufficient for installation and occasional service, but not for daily disconnect.
