What This 3-Position Plug Housing Is
This housing accepts either male or female crimp contacts, which means the same shell can serve as the plug half regardless of which gender the circuit requires. The contacts are not included in the package; you select the appropriate terminal from the Universal MATE-N-LOK family based on your wire gauge and current requirements. The crimp termination style keeps assembly flexible for field-service or low-to-medium volume production.
Mounting and Retention in the Harness
The free-hanging (in-line) mounting style means this plug housing is not panel-mounted or board-mounted — it lives in the middle of a wire harness, mating with a matching receptacle housing.
