IDC Receptacle for Discrete Wire Harnesses
Tin-plated female sockets mate with the matching Mini CT header pins; the free-hanging (in-line) mount suits cable-to-board harnesses where the receptacle is the wire-side half.
Wire Gauge and IDC Build Notes
IDC termination eliminates the need for a separate crimp terminal — the wire is pressed directly into the slot, displacing the insulation to make contact with the tin-plated beam. The 26-28 AWG range is the working window; wire outside that range will either not strip properly (too thick) or lose retention (too thin). The single-row, 16-position layout gives a linear wire exit that is easy to route in a harness bundle. The gray color helps visual identification on the assembly line.
