It uses a 0.098" (2.50 mm) pitch and accepts female socket contacts that are crimped onto the wire, then inserted into the cavity. The housing is natural-colour polyamide (PA66) rated for -25°C to 105°C, which covers most under-hood automotive and industrial cabinet environments.
This receptacle mates with the matching HPI series pin header of the same pitch and circuit count — look for a 12-position, 2.50 mm pitch header in the same series. Crimp the terminals with the proper tooling, push them into the cavity until the latch clicks, and give a light tug to confirm they're locked. You should hear it click; if it backs out, it's scrap.
It is RoHS3 compliant.
