The locking ramp fastening type means the mating half clicks into place with an audible and tactile latch — no secondary hardware, no tools. In a harness build, that translates to consistent engagement force and a vibration-resistant joint that won't back out under machine shake or vehicle movement. The snap-in panel mount presses into a rectangular cutout and locks without screws or clips, reducing assembly time and hardware count on the line. For field service, a technician can release the ramp with a small screwdriver and unmate the connector without damaging the housing.
