This housing is a shell only — the crimp contacts that go inside it are not included. The Universal MATE-N-LOK system accepts both male and female crimp contacts.
Latch-Lock Retention and Field Assembly
The latch-lock fastening on the 1-480702-2 engages audibly when the plug is pushed into the mating receptacle header. For field service, the latch is released by pressing the tab, allowing the connector to be unmated without tools. The single-row layout and red colour aid visual identification in a multi-connector harness.
