Receptacle Housing for MATE-N-LOK — 4 Positions at 5.08mm Pitch
The 1-480728-0: It accepts male pin contacts (ordered separately) and terminates via crimp, making it a field-repairable, in-line interconnect for wire-to-wire or wire-to-board harnesses. The 0.200" (5.08mm) pitch gives enough spacing for 14-20 AWG wire without crowding the cavity — a common choice for appliance, automotive, and industrial power distribution where you need a reliable disconnect point. ROHS3 compliant, so it passes the materials declaration for EU markets without a waiver.
Crimp termination lets you re-pin it on site with a standard hand tool, which is the whole point of the MATE-N-LOK system: field service without a soldering iron.
This receptacle housing accepts male pin contacts and mates with a MATE-N-LOK plug housing that carries female socket contacts. Crimp termination: strip the wire, crimp the terminal, insert into the cavity until the lance locks. No solder, no special tooling beyond the crimper. The nylon housing provides the primary retention; a secondary TPA (terminal position assurance) insert is available for high-vibration environments.
ROHS3 compliant. No UL or CSA listing is carried in the spec record, but the MATE-N-LOK series typically carries UL recognition under file E28476 — verify against your specific application requirements.
