Housing for male contacts – order terminals separately
The 1-485893-1: This is a 13-position, single-row housing for male FFC or discrete-wire contacts. Rated 1.5 A per contact at 300 V, with a -65°C to 105°C operating range that covers automotive and industrial cabinet environments without derating. The housing accepts 22-32 AWG discrete wire or FFC with a thickness of 0.05-0.13mm. Critical note: contacts are not included. You must order the mating pin terminals separately. The housing is designed for male contacts – a flipped flex or wrong terminal type will not seat correctly.
Wire gauge and FFC thickness compatibility
The housing accepts wire from 22 AWG down to 32 AWG, with an insulation diameter range of 0.025" to 0.056" (0.64mm to 1.42mm). For FFC, the acceptable cable thickness is 0.05mm to 0.13mm. This dual compatibility lets the same housing serve both discrete-wire harnesses and flat-flex cable assemblies.
