Housing for a 15-pin FFC harness — what's in the box
The 1-487526-4: This is the FFC receptacle housing from TE's 487526 series, 15 circuits on 0.100" (2.54mm) pitch, single row, with a latch lock to hold the mating header in place under vibration. It handles 1.5 A per contact at 300 V max, and the operating range is -65°C to 105°C — fine for most industrial cabinets but not for a hot engine bay.
The catch: contacts are not included
The spec sheet explicitly says Contacts Not Included. You buy the empty housing and source the matching crimp terminals separately — TE's AMP FFC contacts for 0.05-0.13mm flex cable. No terminal comes in the bag.
