SDL Plug for Round Cable Harnesses
The 1-520424-1: It terminates via crimp, accepting the matching contact (sold separately), and the housing is keyed to prevent mis-mating in multi-connector harness assemblies. The clear and gray polycarbonate housing gives a visual check on terminal seating.
Contact Plating and Current Capacity
Gold plating at 50.0µin (1.27µm) on the copper alloy contacts is a heavy deposition — this is not a flash gold for occasional mating. The 1.5 A per-contact rating at 30 V is signal-level current; this plug suits low-power data or control lines, not a power bus.
This plug mates with the corresponding SDL receptacle housing from the same 50 Series — stock both halves or neither. The crimp termination requires the correct TE die set for 24 AWG stranded wire; the round cable entry accepts the cable jacket, and the keying feature ensures the plug only inserts one way into the receptacle. The housing material is polycarbonate (PC).
