Pin diameter and socket fit
The 1-5645953-2: This PCB pin socket accepts pin diameters from 0.020" to 0.026" (0.51mm to 0.66mm). The beryllium copper contact provides consistent spring force across that range, so a 0.020" test pin and a 0.026" component lead both seat without permanent deformation. Socket depth runs from 0.090" to 0.145" (2.29mm to 3.68mm) — the contact beam engages the pin somewhere in that window depending on insertion depth. For a 0.020" pin, the shorter socket depth is enough; for 0.026" pins, the extra depth gives more wipe.
Board thickness and mounting
The socket fits boards from 0.031" to 0.093" (0.79mm to 2.36mm) thick. The no-tail solder termination means the socket body sits flush against the board — no protruding tail to trim or bend. Mounting hole diameter is 0.052" (1.32mm). The flange diameter of 0.075" (1.91mm) keeps the socket centred during solder reflow.
