IDC Termination and Shielding — Field-Ready Build
Termination is IDC (insulation displacement) for discrete wire, which means you terminate the cable by pressing the wires into the slot contacts — no crimping, no soldering, just a simple tool. The connector is free-hanging (in-line), so it mates directly to a panel-mount or board-mount receptacle without needing a backshell. A shielded shell (steel with tin-nickel plating) and a terminating cover are included as standard features, giving you EMI protection and strain relief in one assembly.
