The TE Connectivity 1-6450550-5 is a 26-position receptacle from the MULTI-BEAM XL series, designed for high-current backplane power distribution. It uses a hybrid contact arrangement — 24 signal positions and 4 blade-type power sockets — so a single connector handles both logic and bus-level current on the same footprint. Press-fit termination eliminates soldering, a real advantage on a multilayer backplane where thermal stress from wave soldering can warp the board or crack vias.
