The natural polyamide (PA, Nylon) housing carries a locking ramp for positive retention when mated, plus a polarizing key that prevents inserting the housing onto a non-keyed header in the wrong orientation. This is a crimp-style housing: it accepts the matching female socket terminals, which must be ordered separately — the housing itself ships without contacts.
Mates with the matching SL-156 pin header (TE 640440 series or equivalent) at the same 0.156" (3.96mm) pitch. The locking ramp engages the header's latch ramp for a positive lock. A secondary TPA (terminal position assurance) is not standard on this housing — the primary lance retention is relied upon.
