Crimp termination means the terminal is assembled with a standard industrial crimp tool — no solder, no heat, consistent results when the correct die is used. The stamped brass construction keeps the contact cost low while delivering adequate conductivity for the current the wire can carry.
Tin Plating — What It Tells You About Duty
The 50.0µin tin finish is a heavy coating — thicker than typical flash tin, which means it can survive more insertion cycles before wear-through than a thin tin plate. For corrosive or outdoor environments, or applications requiring thousands of mating cycles, a gold-plated Multimate III+ contact would be the better choice.
