Crimp Termination and Wire Prep
Crimp termination for 20-24 AWG wire — the strip length and crimp die selection follow the TE application tooling for Multimate III+ contacts. The stamped contact geometry produces a consistent barrel crimp when the correct tool is used; hand-crimping with a universal tool is possible but the pull-off force spec is only guaranteed with the series-specific die set. For volume production, the tape-and-reel packaging feeds directly into semi-automatic crimp presses, keeping cycle time per termination under control.
