Wiring this terminal into a harness
Crimp termination means you'll need the correct TE application tooling — a hand crimper or automatic tool — to get the specified wire strip length and crimp height for 14-18 AWG. The stamped construction gives a consistent barrel shape for gas-tight crimps across the wire range. No soldering required; the crimp joint carries both the mechanical retention and the electrical connection.
Tin-lead provides good corrosion resistance and low contact resistance in mated connections, but it is not RoHS compliant for new equipment sold into restricted markets. If your BOM requires RoHS compliance, this terminal is not a fit — you'll need to look at the tin or gold-plated variants in the Multimate III+ family. The 50.0 µin thickness is substantial, giving good durability for multiple insertion and extraction cycles in a housing.
