Stamped Socket for Multimate III+ Harnesses
Crimping 14-18 AWG stranded wire into this stamped socket is a standard field operation — the barrel design accepts the full conductor bundle and the insulation crimp provides strain relief. The 50.0 µinch tin thickness on the contact surface is heavy enough to survive the crimp process without cracking, and the brass substrate gives good spring properties for retention in the housing cavity. No special tooling beyond the standard Multimate crimp head is required; the same tool family handles the full wire range.
