Stamped pin for Multimate III+ power and signal circuits
It handles the higher insertion forces of a stamped pin in a power circuit and resists fretting corrosion when the connector is unmated and remated in the field. For a 14-18 AWG pin, this plating thickness supports the current rating of the Multimate III+ system without degrading contact resistance over the service life.
The pin accepts 14-18 AWG stranded wire via a standard crimp barrel. The stamped construction gives a consistent barrel geometry for the crimp tooling — the same die set used across the Multimate III+ family. This is a field-terminable contact; no soldering or special tooling beyond the crimp applicator is required.
