Crimp socket for Multimate III+ power circuits
It accepts the wire range that covers most panel and harness power feeds — 14 AWG for the main bus, 18 AWG for branch circuits — without needing a different terminal for each gauge.
For a 14-18 AWG stamped socket, the crimp tool selection matters more than the contact itself. The terminal is designed for a four-indent or full-cycle crimp that pulls the wire strands into the barrel without cutting them. The tin plating on the crimp barrel cold-welds to the stripped copper under compression — that bond, not the contact material, sets the pull-out force. No special seal or wire seal is required; this is an unsealed power contact for dry or controlled environments inside an enclosure.
