It accepts 14-18 AWG wire and terminates with a standard crimp. The copper nickel alloy base material provides spring retention in the housing cavity.
Crimp Process and Tooling
This is a crimp termination, so the wire strip length and crimp height must match the TE applicator and die set for the Multimate III+ family. Sectioning a sample crimp and counting the strands captured under the crimp barrel is the only way to confirm the conductor is fully captured — the wire gauge range is 14-18 AWG, and the contact geometry is designed for that cross-section. Wrong die, wrong crimp.
