AMP LIMITE HDE-20, 9-Position D-Sub Receptacle — IDC Termination, Shielded
It uses IDC termination for discrete 22-26 AWG wire, eliminating the need for crimping or soldering in harness builds. The connector features a steel, tin-plated shell with an integrated backshell, cover, mounting hardware, and shielding — ready for EMI-sensitive signal runs. The UL94 V-0 rated housing meets flame-retardancy requirements for enclosed equipment.
IDC Termination for Harness Efficiency
This speeds up multi-conductor harness assembly but limits rework: once terminated, the wire is not easily removed. The free-hanging mounting style suits cable-to-panel or cable-to-cable connections where the female receptacle mates with a male D-sub plug or panel-mount connector.
Shielding and Mounting Hardware
The steel, tin-plated shell provides EMI shielding for the signal lines within the cable assembly. The flange feature is on the cable side, meaning the jackscrew protrudes from the receptacle to engage with the mating connector's female threaded insert.
