Housing Compatibility and Wire Prep
This socket inserts into any standard Mini-Universal MATE-N-LOK housing cavity. The series uses a positive-lock latch between plug and receptacle housings — the terminal itself is retained by a lance that clicks into the housing window. For 18-22 AWG wire, strip length is specified in the product drawing; the crimp barrel accepts both solid and stranded conductors within that range.
