10-Position Buchanan Plug for 5.08mm Header Mating
The 1-796634-0 is a 10-position, single-level plug from TE's Buchanan series, designed to mate with standard 0.200" (5.08mm) pitch headers. It uses a screw rising cage clamp termination — the M3 screw is torqued to 0.79 Nm (7.0 Lb-In) to secure wires from 12 to 30 AWG (0.05-3mm²).

Retention Latches and 180° Wire Entry
Retention latches on the non-wire side lock the plug into the mating header, preventing disconnection under vibration. The 180° wire entry (straight in-line) simplifies routing in tight enclosures — the wire axis is parallel to the header axis.
