AMPLIMITE HD Jackscrew Socket — What It Is
The TE Connectivity 1-829261-6 is a jackscrew socket accessory for the AMPLIMITE HD series of high-density D-sub connectors. It is the female-side screw lock that secures the mating pair — the jack posts on the plug side thread into this socket to pull the connector faces together and hold them under vibration. The thread options are 4-40 Socket and M3 Screw, giving you a choice between UNC and metric hardware for the panel-side fastener. Thread Fit and Panel Clearance
The 4-40 Socket accepts a standard 4-40 UNC jack post from the mating plug; the M3 Screw side gives an alternative metric thread for panels with M3 hardware. The 14.20 mm length below head means the screw lock can reach through a panel up to that thickness and still engage the jack post threads. For thinner panels, the excess thread protrudes past the nut — a washer stack or a shorter jack post on the plug side takes up the slack.
