The 1-84952-1: 1.00 mm pitch sets the FPC pad spacing and the board footprint — the 11-position connector occupies roughly 11 mm of board edge, plus a keep-out zone for the right-angle body. Solder retention pads anchor the connector against the peel force from cable strain during handling — the pads are part of the SMT footprint, not separate board locks.
Current and contact limits
1 A per contact is the per-circuit ceiling for signal-level FPC connections — the narrow pitch and tin plating limit current before the contact itself.
ZIF actuation and FPC compatibility
Zero Insertion Force (ZIF) with a slide-lock actuator — the actuator slides parallel to the FPC insertion axis, reducing the chance of accidental disengagement during handling. The ZIF mechanism prevents pad damage during insertion. The contact side is bottom-contact (contacts face the PCB), so the FPC must be inserted with the pads facing down.
Available in Tape & Reel (TR) for automated assembly or Cut Tape (CT) for prototypes — specify the package when ordering.
