Board Fit and FPC Compatibility
The right-angle SMT termination means the connector body extends beyond the board edge; plan for a keep-out zone on the component side. The 2.56 mm height above board is low enough for tight enclosures but leaves room for the FPC bend radius. The bottom-contact design means the FPC's conductive pads face downward toward the board. The slide lock provides positive retention — in a moderate-vibration environment (e.g., portable equipment, consumer electronics), this keeps the FPC seated without a secondary latch.
